Dr. Phillips Kitchen

The house was already substantial. The kitchen was not. We kept the volume and replaced what the hand meets — stone, timber, metal — until the room belonged to the rest of the residence.

Cabinetry is walnut, counters are pale stone, and the work is in the alignments: the way a drawer closes, the way the island meets the light. Nothing of the original room remains except the view to the garden.
